What Sarah Said Single Session
It's a strange time for alternative/emo bands. A little over a year ago few would have guessed the genre would ever really return to the popularity it experienced between 2004-2007, but a recent resurgence of alternative and emo bands such as Death Cab for Cutie, American Football, and The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die seem to be proving the naysayers wrong. Nashville based What Sarah Said is a prime testament to the return of this genre. The solo project of Nashville native Cole Harrison, What Sarah Said offers a fresh spin on the emo and alternative music pioneered by greats such as Copeland, Broken Social Scene, and, yes, Death Cab for Cutie, whose song "What Sarah Said" from the 2005 album Plans provided Harrison with an appropriate moniker for his music project. Recently we were fortunate to capture this Single Session of What Sarah Said performing "Father, Father, Father," and we hope you enjoy.
